Pupillo winery

Syracuse

The Pupillo Farm was founded in 1909 occupying the extension of the ancient Targia Fief, a place rich in finds from Greek, Roman, Arab and Norman times, in a green oasis a few kilometers from Syracuse.

The facade of the castle, commissioned by the Norman king Frederick II in the 13th century, dominates the large courtyard where the 17th-century millstone also overlooks. Within the castle walls is the bright and intimate courtyard from which the historic garden is accessed.

Pupillo Winery has recovered the lost taste of Moscato di Siracusa wine and renewed the more established taste of Nero d'Avola. The winery's vineyards, as well as the citrus and olive groves, are cultivated through an agriculture made of sustainability, respect and enhancement, without chemicals, according to the rules of organic cultivation.
