Sicilian traditional cuisine is the mirror of a unique island. A cuisine made of both seafood and mountain recipes, with great ingredients and an incredible variety of dishes and flavours, thanks to the many cultural influences that over the millennia have made it unique: from Greeks and Romans to Arabs, Spanish and French. A cuisine with an incredible heritage that makes it unique and unmissable. Definitely the best expression of the Mediterranean diet!
If you are visiting Catania city centre, we start with a guided tour of the Piscarìa, the traditional food market. After the visit, we head to one of our selected venues: choose between Scammacca del Murgo Palace or Gran Duomo (in the Baroque heart of the city, right in the Piscarìa traditional food market district) or the court of De Mauro Mansion.
If you are in the Catania area, the intimate outbuilding immersed in the Paternò del Toscano Garden or the countryside of the Sicilian blood oranges at Amara Farm are our other proposals.
Are you interested in a guided wine tasting too? We propose our Sicilian traditional cuisine cooking class in some selected wineries (learn more at our Wine & Cuisine page).
Want to pair our cooking class with an organic olive oil tasting? Take a look at our Olive oil & Cuisine page.
