A cooking class dedicated to one of the most famous and beloved dish in all the world: pasta!
In Italy there are about 200 different shapes of pasta: long, short, filled, and thousands of recipes! Sicily, with its very old and rich tradition and its more than 50 ancient variety of wheat, is the perfect place to discover the secrets of pasta and its intriguing history and myths.
Guided by our chef, guests learn step by step how to make from scratch some of the most traditional shapes used in Sicily and Italy: maccheroni, busiati, cavatelli, ravioli, tortelli and… spaghetti (of course!) using only organic local flours from selected varieties of Sicilian ancient wheat, naturally poor in gluten. And, because the perfect pasta needs a perfect sauce, in our cooking class guests learn also how to prepare some delicious pestos and sauces, such as the pistachio pesto or the Etnean ragu with mushrooms, sausage and wild fennel seeds, always using seasonal and fresh ingredients.
Are you interested in a guided wine tasting too? We propose our Pasta masterclass in some selected wineries (learn more at our Wine & Cuisine page).
Want to pair our masterclass with an organic olive oil tasting? Take a look at our Olive oil & Cuisine page.
